Let the children take a turn at decorating. These Christmas magnets can be moved around a suitable magnetic surface, so today's scene might have Santa beside the tree and tomorrow's might give the reindeer center stage.
Build a festive picture together, then leave room for your child to rearrange it. It is a small way to bring play into the Christmas decorations and give the characters a story of their own.
