The first letter of their name can feel like a small discovery. These see-through pieces give children something to pick up and arrange as familiar letters and numbers start to mean more.
Bring out a few at a time while you're sitting together. You can follow whatever catches their attention, whether that's a letter from a favourite book or the number of people coming for dinner.
